What is the GREEN PASS?
A digital COVID certificate is proof that the person:
She was vaccinated against COVID-19 disease
Got a negative test result
She recovered from the disease.
What are the main features contained in the certificate?
· Digital and / or paper format
· QR code
· In national language and in English
· Valid in all EU countries
· Safe, secure and free
Is required?
No. The EU digital COVID certificate is intended to facilitate free movement within the EU. It will not be a prerequisite for free movement, which will be a fundamental right in the European community.
How long does the green pass last?
The rules established by the European Parliament set the duration of the green pass at 9 months after the second dose of vaccine (if any) and at 6 months for those who have recovered from Covid-19
Pending the official entry into force of the European pass, some Member States are already connected to the community gateway needed to ensure that all certificate signatures can be verified across the EU.
In Italy, the COVID certificate will remain accessible through the Io e Immuni app. It will also be issued to those who have received only the first dose of the vaccine, but in this case the green pass can only be used in European countries that do the same thing.
